How it works

Each course contributes grade points based on the letter grade multiplied by the course credits. Semester GPA is total grade points divided by total semester credits. Cumulative GPA adds prior grade points and prior credits before dividing again.

This calculator uses a common unweighted 4.0 scale with whole-letter grades. If your school uses plus/minus grades, weighted classes, or a different grading scheme, compare your results against your institution's official policy.
